Jean-Paul Lejeune

After four years of distinguished study at the Institut des hautes études des communications sociales (IHECS) in Belgium, Jean-Paul Lejeune has led a 39-year career during which he has practised in most areas of professional communications.
He first spent ten years working as an assignment editor and reporter covering energy and European politics for Belgium’s leading news agency, then became editor-in-chief of the country’s top technology magazine, Industrie. After being approached by Claude Beauchamp, president of business publishing at Transcontinental, he moved to Quebec and became deputy editor then editor-in-chief of Commerce magazine from 1986 to 1992.
Mr. Lejeune then served as a creative consultant, writer and co-host of the RDI business program Capital-actions. He was recruited by Luc Beauregard for a position as senior public relations advisor at National, Canada’s largest public relations firm, where he remained for 13 years. From 2009 to 2011, he was communications director for the Montreal Port Authority. Mr. Lejeune has been a senior consultant at COPTICOM since August 2011.
