Lyna Mansouri

Intern

Since joining COPTICOM in 2024, Lyna Mansouri’s work focuses primarily on media and public relations mandates in the field of environmental communications. With a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geography from Université de Montréal, Lyna focused their academic career on the intersection of natural and social sciences. As part of the honours program, they completed a research project on the interactions between climate change and migration, via a case study in Senegal.

Although Lyna’s background is in natural sciences, they have developed a keen interest in communications, becoming actively involved in various science popularization projects over the years. In addition to being a radio host, Lyna works on an array of audio projects such as “Thawing Frontiers”, a podcast where they present issues related to permafrost thaw and the confluence of traditional and Western knowledge in the Canadian Arctic in collaboration with the Atmosbios lab. Their diverse  experiences led them to the journalism graduate diploma at Université de Montréal.

As flexible as their interests, Lyna loves hot yoga and never misses an opportunity to stretch.
