Marine Schmitgen

Marine Schmitgen joined the COPTICOM team in 2021 as Communications Project Manager. Since 2023, she has held the position of Advisor, acting as a specialist consultant in communications strategy and activities for clients. Her strong interest in economic issues has led Marine to work on projects related to companies’ and institutions’ ecological transition, as well as sustainable finance.

Marine first worked in Canadian diplomacy as a junior analyst in the trade section, and later as a writer for the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives. She then oriented her career towards strategic communications at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in 2016, before perfecting her skills in corporate communications and public relations in the private sector.

Marine holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Lausanne. She also holds a master’s degree in international studies, specializing in development, cooperation and economics.

Her volunteer involvements include Force Jeunesse where, as a member of the public policies committee, she prepares the content 2021 Maître Chez Vous national conference. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization Ma Belle Terre, which specializes in financing farming projects.
