Alexander Walsh

Advisor

After starting as an intern at COPTICOM, Alexander joined the team as a project manager where he collaborates with his colleagues to accomplish a myriad of diverse projects.

Alexander holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Sustainable Development from the Université de Montréal and is particularly interested in issues and debates surrounding socio-ecological transition, ecological economics and climate communications. During his studies, he focused on terminology of environmental issues, especially those related to sustainable development and degrowth and the urban / rural divide. At the same time, Alexander was able to apply his knowledge in his work with the Université de Montréal and HEC Montreal on new pedagogies for teaching environmental issues.

Born in a small town in Michigan, Alexander’s desire to understand our world led him to learn French and to settle here in Quebec where he is eager to contribute to overcoming the immense challenge of the climate crisis.
