COPTICOM, Strategy and Public Relations, a consulting agency specializing in issues related to the green economy, energy, transportation, urban planning and the environment, will be in Paris for the duration of COP21, from November 29 to December 13, 2015.
The agency maintains relationships with several decision makers from Quebec’s business, environment, academic and civil society sectors, in some cases also acting as their media contact (see contacts below).
On November 19, COPTICOM delivered a technical briefing session to the media about the main issues to be discussed at the Paris Climate Conference and the collateral topics that will be addressed at this major international event.
Three experts and academic researchers summarized the Conference and its topics of interest to Quebecers and Canadians: Hugo Séguin, Fellow of the Centre d’études et de recherches internationales de l’Université de Montréal (CÉRIUM) and lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke’s École de politique appliquée (ÉPA); Annie Chaloux, associate professor and lecturer at the ÉPA; and Frédéric Gagnon-Lebrun, Associate and Program Leader, Climate Change Mitigation, International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). Leïla Copti, President, COPTICOM, also presented the stakeholders from Quebec who will be attending the Conference as well as their motivations.
